Jacob Standard, MD

Dr. Jacob Standard is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who sees patients ages three years and older at Village Health Partners Frisco Medical Village in Frisco, TX.

Dr. Standard is passionate about preventative medicine and wants to help his patients optimize their health through diet, exercise and promoting healthy lifestyle habits through evidence-based medicine. He enjoys optimizing treatment of chronic diseases, like diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Dr. Standard provides his patients with the most appropriate medications for their diseases in light of their individual histories and comorbidities. He seeks to listen to his patients and through shared decision making, help them be as healthy as they can be.

He encourages his patients to stay up to date on annual preventative care screenings in order to catch and treat medical problems as early as possible. Dr. Standard also motivates his patients to be active by finding exercises that they enjoy. He wants his patients to achieve optimal health through understanding and optimizing the many factors related to a person’s health.

How Dr. Standard practices whole-person wellness

He likes maintaining good relationships with family and friends through talking on the phone or meeting up in person, getting plenty of sleep, and being involved in his local church. Dr. Standard also stays healthy by walking, skiing, golfing, running outside, and exercising at the gym. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, reading, listening to music, and playing board games like chess.
